FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions.

Here are some common questions about AeroInnovate and the Virtual Accelerator Program.

Do you take equity in my company?

We do not take equity in your company.  AeroInnovate helps innovators from across the globe who are starting and growing aero-related businesses and bringing new technologies to the marketplace. We know that the value of the learning, development, and coaching provided by the program is of great value. The AeroInnovate program enables your company to take flight and with that investment receives 2.5% of the company (on a fully diluted basis, issued as common stock).

What other benefits or services does the AeroInnovate Accelerator provide?

The AeroInnovate accelerator offers highly customized support to help take your company to the next level. Not only do we have access to mentors in aviation and aerospace, but we also have our own experinces as founders to guide you on your path to market.  We will prepare you to pitch your company to investors and industry leaders at our Pitch & Mingle event. You will also have the opportunity to display your company with exhibit space at an industry specific expo.

Of all the companies who have gone through the AeroInnovate program over the past 11 years, 83% are still in business.

Do you accept companies that are competitive with each other?

Not in the same cohort, but otherwise, yes.

Will you accept companies from outside of the United States?

Yes.

How do you choose which companies to accept into the program?

We are looking for early stage aviation/aerospace/UAS companies with significant growth potential.  We have a panel of reviewers who will evaluate your application looking specifically at the idea, the market, and the team.

What stage of companies are you looking for?

We typically look for seed or early stage companies with minimally viable products, potential to scale, and strong management teams.

What is Pitch Camp?

Pitch Camp is an intensive two-day experience in Denver the weekend prior to the expo where we will provide intensive coaching on your executive summary, pitch deck and pitch presentation.  Pitch Camp culminates with a pitch “dress rehearsal” for peers, mentors and investors.

What is Pitch & Mingle?

Pitch & Mingle is our accelerator’s “demo day.” It’s a celebration of you as a member of our cohort and your accomplishments. It’s an opportunity for you to introduce your company to the industry. You will pitch to investors, key players in the aerospace industry, media and potential customers.

When will I know if I have been accepted to the program?

We will make decisions about applications four weeks prior to the accelerator kick-off.

What are the dates of your virtual accelerator program?

The next AeroInnovate cohort will begin in 2021

What are my responsibilities during the program?

You must commit to working on your business in your home location for the first nine weeks of the accelerator. There will be up to four mandatory conference calls each week for accelerator curriculum and mentorship. Interaction and collaboration with your fellow entrepreneurs is highly encouraged.  You will also prepare materials for your booth at the expo and participate in-person with Pitch Camp and Pitch & Mingle in Denver the tenth week of the program.

What are my responsibilities after the program?

There are periodic surveys sent to you, which update us on the progress of your business, such as financial information, follow on funding, headcount, etc. This information assists us in developing a strong program by tracking our impact.
